Recording the structure of the Cefn Coed hospital building is an important part of the Cefn Coed Heritage project. Converting Steve Littlejohns‘ astounding 1.2 million polygon architectural model of the hospital into a format that would be easily printable was carried out by Wayne Samuel in his Llansamlet workshop.

Although this model looks fine at a low resolution, printing with maximum resolution settings will bring out the fine details of these models.

Speed up printing by using a 5% infill and a thinner shell.

All Parts of the Model

The model has been cut into parts small enough to print on a hobbyists 3d printer at home. All files are in the commonly used STL format and should work with all 3D printer software. Below is a guide showing what STL files correspond to parts of the Cefn Coed Hospital building;
